Austin, TX — By 3:00 PM, my stress usually isn’t about one big thing.
It’s the stacking.
A work message that needs a reply.
Rushing to leave on time.
Picking up the kids before aftercare closes.
A grocery stop I didn’t plan for.
And a husband texting, “What’s the plan for dinner?”
Nothing is technically wrong — but everything feels heavy.
That’s when I notice it: my tone gets shorter. I answer my kids too fast. I snap at my husband over small things and immediately feel guilty about it.
And by the time the house finally quiets down at night, my body is exhausted… but my mind is still on high alert.
